I think what makes a great outfit is combining unique and interesting colors together.
I felt like having a blush pink day. Blush pink is a soft color which goes well with a lot of fun colors but blue is beautiful color to pair it up with! I could have thrown on some blue jeans, or a blue bag, and kicked it with some navy blue shoes. I decided to wear all pink and have the whole outfit pop against the blue background! One trick to pairing colors together is mixing a warm color, in this case blush pink, with a cool color, blue/navy. It gets a little drab when you’re only working with cool colors. With warm tones it can get a little mushy. Breaking up the color helps with both of those cases. I added my maroon hat for another fun mix of color. photo by Walker Boyes
Friday’s here and this has been a fantastic first week of this new adventure! This week I’m giving you tips on how to wear a certain pair of pants five different ways!
Layers. A girls got to figure out how to pull them off! If you do, you will be able to diversify your closet and be able to wear your clothes with more things!
Today I decided to put on my long flower pink dress over my light distressed jeans. The dress works because the slit of the dress shows off the pants. I put a brown leather woven belt to break up the length of the dress.
I didn’t want to add anymore bulk to the dress so I wore a leather sandal in a more neutral tone.
I’ve got beautiful toes I know… They are something I love to show off, not! But I can’t let them scare me… or you!
Something that makeS an outfit a little bit more funky is wearing a scarf in your hair. I took the green in my dress and tied my green scarf up in a bow.
Nothings complete without that lipstick and a smile!

Denim on denim on denim… if I could I would just layer it all up! Britney & Justin really had something good going…
It’s the easiest outfit to throw together when I am just having one of those days. With this outfit I matched my light distressed denim from Zara with my textured H&M darker denim shirt. I like playing with the two shades and mixing the texture of the denim shirt with the texture of the pant. I tied the tails of the shirt to give it more of a feminine touch.
I was channeling some southwestern vibes and put on my handmade turquoise necklace by Alex Darling and my tortoise shell sunglasses. The denim shirt and turquoise is so complementary.
I kept that southwestern theme going with my vintage hand-tooled leather bag that has a name “Irene” apparently for it being stamped on the inside.
I like to match my bag or belt with my shoes. My vintage mens boots is the perfect pair. These are one of my favorite boots I have. They go with jeans, to dress, to a whole lot in between.
It’s nice to play with the cool tones of the denim shirt and pants with the warms tones of the leather.
To pull this look all together I put my hair in a high bun to get it out of my face.
The red lipstick is that pop of color!
And the best accessories of them all, a dog. Maybe you soon will realize how much I love dogs. This is Harley. He is a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He still has a lot of spunk left in him.

I have always been a denim wearing lady. I never know what my day might turn into, whether it be working on an art project, repurposing a thrift store furniture, going to the dog park…denim, we know, lets me do anything. This week I am focusing on a certain pair of my pants. A light distressed denim from Zara.
Today I am pairing my denim with my yellow striped blouse from Anthropologie. The short bell sleeve shirt flatters any arm (which I am always looking for) and the loose silhouette conceals any imperfections that we want to keep hidden (which I am also always looking for). I left my outfit really simple because today I wanted to keep it light. I was out for a walk and to enjoy the sun! So I slipped on my Forever 21 Flower Sandals which not only complemented my top but also all the beautiful springtime blooms. These sandals are my springtime favorite because even though they have a flowery design, the colors make it easy to mix and match with most of my closet.Love me a high pony to keep my hair out of my face. Tie back in the red in the shoes with the some bright red lipstick and you got yourself an outfit!
